Charlie is Six-A-Rama

Star Wars Party Time

The thing that will be remembered about Charlie's birthday this year is that he
SWALLOWED A PENNY!

We made pipe cleaner lightsabers and yoda green icing for the cupcakes.

Yoda Soda: Lime juice and carbonated water. We call it juice pop.

Jacob lost his arms. It was weird.
Daddy got Charlie a cool guy hat.
Janey made him a friendship bracelet.
He's been into trees so Grammy got him this giant tree puzzle complete with a flock of birds.

He got to put together his first clock with Grammy.

Chewy and Darth are his favorite.
The homemade lightsabers totally work with the action figures.

Scarlet is Two. Thank Goodness.

We made chocolate and cherry playdough for Scarlet's 2nd Berfday. In our family we use Buttons to tell each other I love you. We might find a button on our pillow or in a shoe or pocket, or in your glass of water, in our oatmeal, the playdough... little reminders that we love each other.

She looks older now.

JJ is so sweet with Scoopy

Squish her.

Dress from Mommy.
Dress and cell phone from Grammy.

So pretty.

Gramma Gail finds the cutest birthday outfits.

Scarlet sleeps in a real bed now. Here is her teeny, new room.

Welcome April

The Golden Touch

The amber dust of sunset fills
The limits of my narrow room,
And every sterile shadow thrills
To golden hope, to golden bloom.

Sweet through the splendor, shrill and sweet,
Somewhere a neighboring cage-bird sings,
Sings of the Spring in this grey street
While golden glories gild his wings.

Clothed with the sun he breaks to song-
In vague remembrance, deep delight-
Of dim green worlds, forsaken long,
Of leaf-hung dawn and dewy night.

My prisoning bars, transfigured too,
Fade with the day, forsworn, forgot-
Melt in a golden mist- and you
Are here, although you know it not.

Oh Boy

If I'm old and I have to wear shower caps now, it might as well be this one...

I've been collecting these kinds of jars from the BB. They always have them.

Love the mood lighting.

k. my kids need these.

and this game too.

Mariah, do you think we could make these?

Why do I love jars so much?!

I want this in my garden. A fairy bell.
Check this out. You can gift cupcakes if they are in a clear plastic cup. No mess. Genius.

This is my friends Gramma's recipe box. Just teeming with stages of life, memories and history.
What a treasure.

Mom wanted to see my basement dungeon craft room.
Here it is.

I converted them.

The Last Batch

By the end of all these pictures Mark just about lost it. I guess it was a lot of me bossing him around (stand here, turn that way, take your coat off...that kind of stuff)  but they are so cute together- I had to...
