Summer is waning...

Grammy and Baba came to visit in their big awesome motor home!

Oh how we love these sweet faces!

General Conference surprise bags by speaker.
Tutor time with our fantastic homeschool facilitator.
I basically have 4 daughters
Lavender from our garden.

Cellist love.

Jacob like to play chess blindfolded. It hurts my brain enough with my eyes open.

Hazel finally joins the family music circle. She has the teacher of our dreams!

Mexican with Uncle J's fam.
First year of flag football. Tim enjoyed coaching.

Jacob loving the new baby next door.

We had intense election partying happening.

The exhilaration of childhood. Dancing in the hail.

Jacob started a local Chess Club and teaches private chess lessons now. He has 12 students.

Jacob's held his first tournament. It was a nail biter.

Thats a lot of peg people in one house.
I love coming across their little peg lands.
Aunty Amber inspired Scarlet to learn how to make a Banana Cream Pie.
Scarlet gets bangs! Thankfully we have Jane the family hair cutter.
Brothers at the piano is the best.
She's a kitten. Always following the patches of sunshine.
We made baskets!

Scarlet nursed a sick chick back to life. She had to wake up every few hours in the night to feed it.
They lost a tooth on the same day! Although Hazel doesn't enjoy losing teeth at all.

Pumpkins make the best toys

Garden bounty.

Jane making soap again...
and she makes coin pouches...
and she composes the most beautiful snail mail...

and she teaches cello lessons...
and she sews bunnies for little people...
and she loves to hold little people...
and she loves Magnolia like a sister...
and she even sews her own sweatshirts!

Ezra wrote a letter to a favorite composer and got an awesome letter back.

Life is so exciting when the power goes out while with your favorite pals.
Birds of Prey museum.

Jane has beautiful nature journal pages.

Ezra started the school year off with some cooking classes. He made popsicles, taco soup, french toast, German pancakes, angel food cake, cornbread, coleslaw...

We made giant bubbles for our graduation celebrations.

Spikeball- the handy dandy sibling time bonding sport.

Hazel has been learning about the wildflowers of Waterton and painting them in her journal.

Scarlet is super into Scripture Journalling. These were her first few pages.

We watched how fast a prairie fire can spread.
Jacob has a journal for his stock market class with grammy. All his candlesticks look so cool!

Scarlet makes fancy sourdough bread for our family every single week!

Annual Wood Chopping party. Always a great time and like Amber says,
the men are more handsome when they're working.

AH! I do not enjoy snakes in containers. Hazel has this uncharacteristic side- she's always been comfortable with holding creepy crawly creatures.

The pumpkins were having a get together?
A surprise bouquet from a friend.
