Familyness

The kids were all so unusually cooperative for these pictures. I couldn't believe it.

Aunt Jenny whipped up these curls, of course, as I only know how to let them wild and free.

I will die when he leaves on his mission. I've already decided.

Dreamy chocolate boy.

She couldn't get enough of Aunt Jenny's dance moves.

This is the reason I wanted family pictures. I usually get fancy baby pics and I still hadn't for Ezra.

Who says we won't grow old and start looking alike. I think I'm starting to see it already.
Am I really related to all these beautiful people??!

Seems like our family pictures have a short shelf life- we'll need a new one in 6 more months.

I was disappointed I didn't get the couch to myself, seeing that
I'm the only girl and therefore, the most special child in the family...

Sumo and Isabelle

Have you ever seen such beauty!
Timmy laughs when we talk about how I never had a sister growing up. He thinks its funny to picture how I'd be with sisters since its so foreign to me. Now that I have my first sister-in-law, I'm realizing  that sisters are A DREAM! I really love it. I especially love when Jenny calls me during the day for a little visit. We're hoping that someday we'll get to live on a giant acreage together...

Jenny and Eli babysat for us on Saturday and our kids had the time of their lives! Uncle Eli showed them some Sumo wrestling videos, they moved the furniture, and then stuffed their shirts with pillows for the big wrestle... it doesn't get more fun than that.

Charlie said that by the end Scarlet said, "I don't want to be chubby anymore."
Scarlet was in heaven with baby Isabelle around. Before bed tonight she said, "I want Isabelle in our house again." A few nights ago she was talking to me about Isabelle in the
middle of the night in her sleep!

Timmy admitted, "I didn't know I would like her this much."

Finally Finished

I'm going to bore you with way too many pictures of this project but I've been working on it for over a year and I finally finished it. All 440 pages of it. It's a blog book that I made using Blurb. I loved using Blurb, it was super easy with no glitches ever. The quality is beautiful and the shipping was so fast. Doing a blog book is nice because there is so much journaling all ready done and you can print off as many books as you want. The other handy dandy thing about it is that once you upload your blog, then you don't need the internet anymore so I could work on it in the car or wherever. I would do about 50 pages at a time. It feels so good to finish up big projects!

Here is the front cover

 The spine

 The front page

The next four pictures are just some sample pages

 And the back cover
See how thick it is! Next time I'll divide it up into two books so I don't have to heave-ho this heavy monster of a book to look at it.

Sunday Morning

This is the best Tim could do so I could post a picture of my haircut. My eyes are always shut for pictures. I'm starting to not like pictures of myself with my eyes open because I'm not used to it :0)
A kid on the lap is a strategic way to hide the 14 weeks pregnant bump...

Jane's hair is unreal. Its wild and golden and long and ringlets.
Scarlet's is exactly the same too, only shorter.

Wildly Beautiful

Even in just this texted picture you can see that baby Isabelle is the loveliest baby. She is the calmest, sweetest, darlingest baby. Her parents must be magical. I LOVE her.

Sweet And Low
   by Lord Alfred Tennyson

Sweet and low, sweet and low,
Wind of the western sea,
Low, low, breathe and blow,
Wind of the western sea!
Over the rolling waters go,
Come from the dying moon, and blow,
Blow him again to me;
While my little one, while my pretty one, sleeps.

Sleep and rest, sleep and rest,
Father will come to thee soon;
Rest, rest, on mother's breast,
Father will come to thee soon;
Father will come to his babe in the best,
Silver sails all out of the west,
Under the silver moon:
Sleep, my little one, sleep, my pretty one, sleep.

Springtime Welcome

Daffodils By William Wordsworth

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed--and gazed--but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

Bread Will Bring Us Together

Charlie has been working on learning Pachebels this whole year.
I am so glad they get to spend the day together.

Sometimes they like to talk about life... while eating No-Knead Bread.
Thank you Cammy for the recipe.
Jane has been keeping us supplied with fresh bread every morning for a week.

Is in case you were interested...

I just noticed this the other day and thought it was fascinating
how much a night stand tells about a person.

This is mine.

This is Timmy's.

Heaven

I love my Iranian heritage. I think its so neat and it explains so much of why I am how I am. These are some of my favorite pictures from my parents' last trip there. I think they are so beautiful.
I hope someday I will get to see it for myself and visit the family I have there.

This is where the real deal pita bread comes from.
Jacob and Scarlet are OBSESSED with pita. We bring $40 worth of pita home
from Edmonton each time now.

I can't imagine eating pomegranates as casually as we eat apples. I would LOVE that.

So many pomegranates!

Fruit stands make me really happy.

I love the architecture there.

Farmers Market heaven! My parents brought home cute elf-ish slippers for all of us.
Timmy especially loves his.

Goats everywhere.

More markets. This is the Bargain Barn times 1 jillion.

This is a restaurant. Isn't it so enchanting.

This is how the food goes down. A long table cloth on the floor and lots
of family and lots of the best food ever.

This is Persepolis. I can't believe my parents saw it in real life.

These spice shops call to me. I love learning about spices and collecting them. They just don't do it like this here. Isn't it genius the way they layer them so it looks so pretty.
