More Summer 2020

Hazel was having a hard time hearing in the Winter/Spring. We went to see the specialist and while we were mulling over the info it became summer and she could hear better! Now I miss how she used to put her face close to my cheek while I was reading to her so she could hear better.

 Pastel professionals!
 Scarlet curled Hazel's long hair.
Congratulations to Janey for finishing her Personal Progress and earning her medallion.
We loved this book about Emily Dickinson
Scarlet sewed a matching outfit for Hazel's doll who happens to be named, "Creesha Forget-me-not Krispies."
Emma and Amber let Jane join in the soap making magic.

We gathered willows by the creek to make baskets!

Hazel learning about intestines with tights and playdough...

Charlie's birthday dinner- Hamburgers!

He got a few more Rubiks cubes to add to he and Brady's collection.
 Major Rubiks session with friends.
Scarlet had the awesome idea of making a stick-pull-game stick for Charlie's gift.
Scarlet made a goal to learn to do the splits. She diligently stretched for a few months until she could do it. This is a miracle being from our family!
Sometimes we write letters while we have a family concert.
 More cute sewing projects.
Dolly going for a walk in in sweater weather. She tells me that she loves to smell me because I smell like "hot bannock."
Jane SO excited about snail mail. She was humming and giddy about all her letters and Charlie finally piped up and said, "Jane, you can be excited but don't be hysterical."
 Popcorn and good talks.
Apparenly I have the cutest mom ever!
Ezra loves to make breakfast. He's super organized about it.

Cool fieldtrip with Tim's colleague at the firehall.
Hazel has gorgeous penmanship for a 6 year old.
This is probably her first selfie. I guess she missed the memo that we're a selfie-free family.
 She loves audiobooks!
Ezra wrote Scarlet a birthday poem:

On a Bright Winter Day
By Ezra Eaton

In the Winter time when the sky turns white,
When the stars are bright in a winter night,
If the sky is so bright on a Winter day
Go out and have fun and play the whole day!

Happy Birthday dear Scarlet,
Goodbye and good day!
Jane sewed Scarlet a cute mini backpack.
Lily came over and made Scarlet's birthday day!

Tim and Wilby are matching buddies.
 Salad rolls with Lizzy!

Home church in the mountains with our pals.
Home church with our neighbor pals.
Waterton with our dear dear dearest friends.
Look how happy I am to be with these boys before their missions! They are the special kind.
We hiked Lost Horse Creek then a quick zip up Bears Hump for a photo :)

Look at this beauty of a mother. Wise and strong and lovely in every way.
Their missionary letters warm our hearts right up.
Axe throwing Hazel...
Ezra learning to sharpen a knife.
My favorite craft time ever- we painted wooden spoons for garden markers.
They turned out SO SO CUTE! I admired them all season long.
We had a delightful hike and picnic with The Skinners. It was really nice to see them again.
We took a meat bird class and learned to raise and butcher chickens.
We were definitely out of our element but we're excited to know how to have
fresh healthy chicken in our freezer.

We love little moments to adore baby Wilby almost every day.
Always working on a new game.
Even though Charlie makes ice cream almost every night
we still have to stop for cones at least a couple times every summer.
Hazel's Birthday!
Jacob read her a story.
The girls made her salad rolls.

A comfy new dress from the cousins.
Ezra made a peg house.
Mommy gave her new ribbons.
Janey sewed a new skirt.
A new Milly-Molly-Mandy book.
The best part was when she lost her first tooth and had a major melt down.
Grammy sewed her a darling fairy dress!
Scarlet painted her a birdhouse.

Her bestie Daisy came with a wooden peghouse!
We had rhubarb cake and Charlie made ice cream. What a beautiful day!

There were some special baptism moments this year that I will remember forever.
