March Birthdays!

We had a fun little party with Isabelle this year. I love that my older kids get just as excited as the littles to see Belly. Age doesn't make a speck of a difference to them. She's such a dolly and we all LOVE her so much.

After Belly's birthday, it was Timmy's birthday.
I like how Ezra made him a felt sandwich for his birthday :)

I took these two girlies to see the new Cinderella for Scarlet's birthday. We went with some aunties and friends and Belly and Henry and Max were there too. On the way we stopped for some healthy snacks and ended up with hippie deodorant...

We had fancy grilled sandwiches for Scarlet's dinner.
I found her Persian Rose essentail oil perfume. She smells like a flower now.
Jacob hand crafted paper dolls for her, complete with accessories and shoes.

Jane made her a pom pom wand.
I found these silk rainbow wings for her to frolic in the yard with.

We had Scream'in Brothers healthy ice cream for dessert.

Cute new outfit from Gramma Gail!

The American Doll of her dreams from Grammy and Baba.

This girl all of a sudden started reading like crazy right around her sixth birthday this year. She's been working hard and then poof! She's a reader- one of our youngest to learn. It's been amazing to be with each of my kids for the whole learning to read process. I love that we share that experience together.

Scarlet has also been sewing a lot of buttons, doing a lot of helping in the kitchen and racing out the door to be outside any free moment she can find. She stays in the garden with me the longest of all the kids.

Random

Scarlet wrote this a while ago, inviting the kids to a party she set up in the basement.

A typical Scarlet "office". We find these around the house daily.

Charlie wrote this up with Ez. What a great life.

Ez and Scarlet planned this concert for us.

I keep finding these cute knitted sweaters at the thrift store.

I like this picture bc Hazel looks so grown up.

Coconut oil straight out of the jug.

This was more fun than it sounds. The littles learned The Three Little Pigs story then made the three houses. Once they had it down they made a little play for us.

I liked Ezra's huffing and puffing.
At the end I made mud with cornstarch and they played pigs in the mud.

Our annual Dragon Eggs with prizes inside.

We are nurturing Ezra's love of Pete the Cat.

The littles are my Costco buddies every Wednesday :)

January and February

We did a study unit on the human heart around Valentines.
As part of it, we watched the video Holding the Human Heart by Soul Pancake
This is the extent of my hair style skills. I'm still waiting for Jenny's expertise to wear off on me.
We got to party with the Voravongs for Valentines. It was WILD. Not sure why but our minute to win it games were more intense than I ever imagined possible... who knew a whoopie cushion prize would be so enticing.
The boys investigating a heart model. Cute little buddies.
Jacob is baptized!! We had a delightful little baptism for Cubby at the end of January. I knew it would be hard to get a picture on the day of so I snapped some with him on the Sunday before.

Here's the "I can't believe you're 8!" hug.
Doesn't get any handsome or sweeter than this boy!!
