The time has come for Backyard Chickens

Town Council Meeting
Tuesday, April 5th
5:00pm (just 10 minutes)

We will present a case for food sustainability. We will be asking them to allow the keeping of hens in Cardston, and ask that they draft a committee to research and bring forward ideas for food sustainability in Cardston.

We need as many people as we can get to come to the meeting. If you are unable to come, we appreciate your support by signing this petition.

We appreciate the town council for supporting the establishment of a community garden and ask that you help us implement a plan to establish FOOD SECURITY in our community by encouraging:

1.     The farmer’s market
2.     Food Co-ops
3.     Gleaning projects
4.     Demonstration Farm zoning
5.     The keeping of chickens and other small domestic animals
6.     Donating or grants of unused public space for gardening
7.     Planting of edible landscaping
